Munnar Trekking Munnar - Itinerary
Day – 1 Arrival
Arrive at Cochin International Airport and tour executive will meet and greet you there after transfer to Munnar (150 kms - 3.5 Hrs Drive) drive up the hill station enroute visit Cheeyyappara water fall. Check in to Deep Woods - Deluxe Cottage over night stay in the camp.
Trekking
Your Munnar trek begins at Mathikettan Shola Rain Forest the challenging and exciting trek route in Munnar, you will also trek through Meesapulimala, the second highest peak in the Western Ghats, visit the Cardamom forest of Santhanpara and Chaturangapara, where you get to stay with in the forest. You will be surrounded by the natural beauty and the challenging trek will a wonderful experience for you.
Day 2 - Suryanelli Trek
Meesapulimala is the second highest peak in the western ghats and you will trek to a height of 2640 meters. Trek involves hight altitude navigation through grass lands and forest to reach the peak. Once you reach the peak you will find your eyes exciting with the view of forest and tea estates down the valley, later you will trek down to Suryanelli.
Day 2 - Santanparar Trek
Today you will visit Mathikettan Shola National park where you will see the diversified beauty of Nature. This park is ahabitat of Flora and Fauna, hre you will also find the Asiatic Elephants and Nilgirs Nangurs. later you will hit the "Cardamom Hills" the destination Santanpara. The spices are mainly cultivated here and this place made Kerala famous for the spice trading.
Day 3 - Chaturangapara Trek
The last part of your rainforest trek leads you from Santanpara to Chaturangapar. Here you will sweat bit more than other trek and which gives you a wonderful view to the neighboring state of Tamil Nadu. A camp will be set up fr you in the forest and the rhythm of forest gives you a night for complete relaxation to end you trek.
Day 4 - Trek ends
Today you will end up your trek in Mathikettan Shola Rain Forest trek. Enjoy your breakfast and take home the beautiful memories of the Munnar grasslands and forest clouds.
Day 05 - Alleppey
Morning proceed to Aleppey (180 kms / 4 Hrs) which has a panoramic backwater stretches, lush paddy fields, highlands. On arrival check into a Traditional Houseboat of Kerala Style and cruise through the backwaters is the fabulous way to explore the fascinating beauty of the backwater, over night stay in the house boat.
Day 6 - Departure
After breakfast you can proceed for your onward travel plan. We will take you the Cochin Internations Airport.
