Wayanad Kabini Wild Life - Itinerary
Day – 1 Arrival Wayanad
Arrive at Cochin International Airport and tour executive will meet and greet you there after transfer to Wayanad the land of paddy. Wayand consist of Mananthavady, Sulthanbathery and Vythiri Taluks. The name Wayanad is derived from Vayal Nadu which means the land of paddy fields.
The District was carved out from the then Kozhikode and Kannur Districts. Check in to Vyrthiri Resort and over night stay in the tree house.
Day - 2 Kabini - Kabini Jungle Resort
Today morning after breakfast check out and proceed to Kabini the land specifically known for the river named "Kabani River". Kabini also known for its Wildlife destination in Karnataka. River Kabini Lodge beckons with the promise of elephants, gaur, deer and a rumour of tiger. Located on the southern fringes of the Nagarahole National Park (Rajiv Gandhi National Park) , this former hunting lodge of the erstwhile Maharaja of Mysore was rated as One of the Top 5 Wildlife Resorts in the World by the British Tatler's Travel Guide. A sprawling colonial estate in the heart of elephant country, the River Kabini Lodge echoes with the call of the wild. Overnight stay at Kabini Jungle Lodge.
Day – 3 Kabini
After breakfast Proceed for activities.
A morning and evening jeep safari or even a boat ride down the River Kabini rewards you with sightings of herds of elephants, crocodiles sunning themselves and many hued birds flitting in and out of the forest's green canopy. For a touch of rustic, opt for the traditional coracle, made from bamboo and buffalo hide or go for the regular motorboat. Unwind with a wildlife movie in the audio-visual hall and then bring the day to a grand close with barbecue by a campfire. Over night stay in the resort.
Day - 4 Departure
After Breakfast check out and proceed to Calicut Airport as per your onward travel plan.
